If you are planning on attending a school in the United States, you may need to have your Canadian high school credentials evaluated by a third party service. The most common service used is International Education Research Foundation or IERF. Most US post-secondary institutions will require this analysis. It is something that should be done 2-3 months before application deadlines. Please select "detailed report" when choosing which type of evaluation to be done.
You will need to order sealed transcipts from Alberta Education through Mypass. Once you receive these sealed transcipts, they need to be sent to IERF. When IERF receives the transcipts, they will analyze them and then send them on to the institutions you selected on the IERF application.
